Friday 10/10/14
We now have something planned for those who are going to be arriving before too late on Friday. My mother has been offered to stay at a friends house in a very nice location in the Diamond Head area. So we thought we would take advantage and have a relaxed BBQ there on Friday night. Times are quite fixed yet, but it would be nice to be able to view the sunset from the deck, which would mean being there at 6pm. Probably aim to meet at the house around 3-4pm, see how the snorkeling is, and then return to the house for sunset dinner and drinks.

Wedding day plans
As you all know, we are planning on holding the ceremony on a boat, Sunday out off Waikiki. Light food and drinks are going to be on-board. However, we are wondering if there are any special requests or needs for the boat trip? Snorkeling will be possible, so we are also wondering who might be interested so that we can arrange enough snorkel gear ahead of time.
Please feel free to give suggestions or let us know things that might be nice to have out on the boat. The trip will only be for 3-hours, so we shouldn't need that much, but want to make sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoys the day.
Thanks.

Wedding GIfts
There have been several inquiries about possible wedding gifts and a request to put something on the blog. Marina and I are not really interested in acquiring more stuff. I think our apartment is already pretty full and we are well stocked on most things. But to provide some ideas I have thought of a few things that could be useful around the house and some bigger picture things that would be appreciated.
We would prefer gifts that are experiences and build memories rather than material things. Gifts like gift certificates to go scuba or sky diving, travel vouchers for flights to other Hawaiian islands/countries, cooking classes we could do together, or dance lessons (but i would ask first because there are certain studios that are much preferred over others in our experience here).
The big trip/honeymoon is a ways out and it will most likely be a multi-country trip of some kind but we don't know when or where so its hard to ask for anything related.
Finally cash would be helpful to build savings, plan toward a honeymoon trip and future custom wedding bands, and help to relocate to the mainland.
As far as a few material things go that would also be nice the only two things that come to mind would be new surf boards, maybe we could get matching boards and a new vacuum.

Monday 10/13/14
On Monday everyone is invited to go together to visit the ships, museums and war memorials at Pearl Harbor. We are open to suggestions if anyone has certain spots in mind that they would prefer to others, after almost 2 years on the island I have yet to visit the Pearl Harbor sites. We should plan to be there early, or at least have some people go early to get tickets and the rest can follow later in the morning.
If you have any particular sites in mind, please leave comments so that we can figure out the order of events and plan accordingly.

Saturday evening there will be a dinner hosted by Florence, Terry, Phil, and Maryann. I will leave it to them to post what they have in mind and times on the comments section to let people know what to expect.

Wedding Venue and dates (10/12/14)
Sunday, 10/12/14, 11am - 2pm we have chartered a small yacht to have the ceremony on. The boat will depart from town, south shore, and go out (not far) for a couple hours. They will do the vows on the boat and then conditions permitting will anchor and people will be able to swim or just enjoy the ride.
Food and drinks are going to be pre-arranged. Coolers will be on the boat for drinks and food.
Following the ceremony will be dinner, location TBD.
