Wedding Venue and dates (10/12/14)

Sunday, 10/12/14, 11am - 2pm we have chartered a small yacht to have the ceremony on.  The boat will depart from town, south shore, and go out (not far) for a couple hours.  They will do the vows on the boat and then conditions permitting will anchor and people will be able to swim or just enjoy the ride.

Food and drinks are going to be pre-arranged.  Coolers will be on the boat for drinks and food.

Following the ceremony will be dinner, location TBD.

  1. Is this a sailing or motor yacht? I am asking because if it is likely to be breezy, the women of the party may be safer wearing pants (or shorts) than skirts, or at least than fuller skirts that can get blown around and tangled with lifelines, running tackle, etc. There is also the heeling factor, meaning flat shoes would be the way to go. (Even if they aren't already!)

  2. Are we the captain and crew or are they part of the charter deal?

  3. The charter comes with captain/officiant and crew, so we get to just sit back and relax. It is a sailing yacht I believe, so definitely casual wear, feel free to wear shorts or whatever is most practical and comfortable for a potentially windy couple of hours!
